Flexible Engagement Model

Our Jump Start and Governance work is strictly technology agnostic.  Our assessments have led to successful outcomes based around package solutions, custom solutions and the MDX leased solution.  We measure our business at the master data level not the solution level so that our integrity is never compromised.

The technology landscape as it relates to master data management is in a state of flux and consolidation. The market comprises first generation products rushed to market by Oracle and SAP, consolidation plays like IBM (Ascential and DWL) to niche players such as Siebel (customer) or FullTilt (product). It is difficult to predict the eventual technology mix that will prevail or who eventually acquires specialist providers such as Siperian. The recent acquisition of Siebel by Oracle is indicative of the risks of making technology choices in an early stage market.

Companies just beginning their master data strategy may have unclear long term requirements and speculative business case metrics. Companies at this early stage may be uncomfortable committing to a technology provider and investing the significant upfront fees. For these organizations Alliance provide a hosted or leased master data solution that minimizes upfront investment and quickly establishes a technology agnostic master data solution.

At the other end of the spectrum, many organizations, particularly in financial services, have invested in central customer databases over several years. These companies typically have advanced needs that extend beyond the capabilities of today’s packaged solutions. For these companies Alliance draw against our extensive library of business process models, data models, code components and interface designs to extend and augment the customer’s internal solution.

For organizations that have a defined technology strategy, for example a long term commitment to SAP, Oracle or IBM, a packaged implementation may be appropriate. Alliance have experience implementing packaged solutions from software vendors such as Ascential (now IBM) and Siperian.
