Anthony A. Ibarguen
Chairman of the Board
Tony has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. He joined Alliance as President and CEO in 2004 after holding executive management roles as Managing Director of Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE:SFE) and Internet Capital Group (NASDAQ:ICGE). He now serves as Chairman and the Board for Alliance Life Sciences Consulting Group, Inc. as well as Alliance Global Services.
Tony was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ:TECD), a Fortune 150 technology distribution and logistics firm. Earlier he co-led the buyout from JWP, Inc. of $1.5 billion Entex Information Services which was subsequently acquired by Siemens Business Services. Tony started his career at IBM where he held a variety of sales, marketing and management positions.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Codi Inc. and Alliance, and also serves on the Board of Trustees of The Baldwin School and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He previously served on the Boards of a number of public and private companies including Tech Data, C-Cor, Smartdisk, eMerge, Kanbay, Fortress, AssetTrade, eCredit, Metalsite and USGift. He received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and an MBA from Harvard University and lives in Villanova, Pa. with his wife and three children.
